On Wednesday, Jessie and I took our classes to Rancho San Luis, a farm just outside of La Ceiba, to finish our units on Animals and Plants. We focused on the life cycles of animals, vertebrates, basic needs of all living things, and adaptations. It was a HOT day with hardly any clouds in the sky which was a relief since it had been raining everyday for the past week, however our kids would beg to differ. They were a bit uncomfortable at times with the heat and the sun even though they've lived in Honduras all of their life!! With the 3rd and 4th grade classes we had about 50 students total which was a handful along with 10 parent chaperones. They kids had a great time and they LOVED looking at the animals. Take a look :)
Teaching some lessons before the fun begins :)
They knew all the answers...we taught them well!
