Halloween is here in the 4th Grade

I just wanted to share with you all my sweet Halloween Door for our school's door decorating contest. The students made all of the bats, spiders, hands, and tombstones. They did such a great job even if it was REALLY hectic in there with all of the kids and the paint...EEK! I guess that's what Halloween is all about...how to scare the teacher with crazy art activities.

We also finished Quarter 1 a week ago and throughout the 9 weeks we made a goal to read 10,000 pages!! The students and I did just that and as a reward we had Reading Party. Students were able to bring slippers, pillows, stuffed animals, and all of their favorite books for a day of reading, relaxation, and fun. We even had our superintendent Mrs. Counsil come as our guest read aloud speaker. She read "The Giving Tree" (love that book!) It was really fun :)
